The UCP is nudging families toward homeschooling during the teachers’ strike — like that wasn’t the plan all along. Trad wives, religious “curriculum,” girls sidelined from sports, the cult of separatist anti-vax Alberta. Break the system, sell off the pieces, pocket the cash, call it virtue.

But we can’t afford to provide Covid vaccines, teachers (except for religious schools), or timely surgical access. How great that we can fund big dinners, a private gestapo, pay for fraudulent Tylenol invoices, and private surgeries that cost taxpayers double.
