(we can enjoy stereotypically "girly" things AND enjoy sports coverage. we have the mental capacity to process those two things separately. the "girly" stereotypes are NOT why we watch your content, & the fact that sky doesn't know that is why this venture was so hopelessly misguided from the jump)

2. that they thought the way to gear sports coverage to women is with pink and glitter and labubus and hot male athletes rather than, oh, i don't know, actually including women in their existing coverage and covering more women's sports is... i can't even put into words how condescending that is

(which is stupid and ridiculous and offensive, because why can't men get just as much entertainment out of women commentators and women's sports? women have been enjoying men-led sports coverage and men's sports since... oh, that's right, since the dawn of fucking sports)

let's be clear here:

1. that they felt it necessary to create a brand-new outlet to cater to women & fans of women's sports rather than just giving women & women's sports more airtime on their main network means they feel if they do, they'll be alienating their main (or "real") audience, aka men

i just bought a body spray that i was so excited to use, but it turns out NOPE, i just wasted my money because there is no angle at which my fingers can actually press the nozzle with enough strength to get it to release. surely we can do better than this?
