Welcome to Greece: Where Time Stops and So Do the Trains 🚂💥

🚆 In February 2023, 57 people died in a train collision. Two years later, you can still buy a ticket on that same line — with the same dangers.
🎯 Help us make it visible.

I went to Evian to present EMO BON (the 1st European

Did we set fire to the rain? 🔥
Well, not exactly, but we did set it to the water. Or technically, to our artificial oil spill! 🛢️

Was there smoke on the water? 💨
Yes, there was!

Is this the first publication of, quite a few, more to come? Indeed!

So, a while ago we had published a paper on bald sea urchin disease. Now, we have a new paper, on spotting disease 👉 rdcu.be/dvnoR
In a nutshell, although both diseases involve spine loss, they are distinct (microbiome and symptom wise). Also, all lesions have the same microbial composition.

What causes bald sea urchin disease?
Is there one 🦠responsible or multiple?
How different is the surface microbiome 🧬 between diseased, recovered and healthy sea urchins?

If you are interested in finding out, check out our recent paper 👉 doi.org/10.1093/fems...
