To pay the energy cost of the cards, you have to burn other cards, which adds another layer of strategy to your deck-building. But keep in mind that cards with the blue banner -like the False Map- cannot be burned!

Cards are an essential part of Iron Crown! They're the main feature to play with, so our artist makes them with a lot of care.
Here's a sneak of how the basic attack card has changed:

Did you notice that the cards have a cost to play them? How do we get that? Easy: burning other cards! Burned cards are lost for the whole scenario, so it's up to you to decide which cards are played... and which are burned.

What makes Iron Crown different from other deck builders and roguelikes?
A more strategic approach! When you play a card, it's not played automatically, but is put on an action bar that you can rearrange each turn to optimize what your character will do!
