I got a map-making book for a gift and started working on a fantasy map today. Consider this v0.1
I didn't realize it'd scaled it to this size, so she's probably going to take a while
It's super chill and meditative
A partly finished black and white hand drawn map of a fictional continent. It mostly runs north and south with a large bay to the east and a large island to the south. A sharp mountain range runs along the west coast and a smaller rounder mountain range is in the northeast. A few lakes and forests are scattered around the map, mostly in the north. To the southeast is a desert oasis. The southern island has a large lake in its center with an island inside the lake. Several rivers floors from the mountain to the surrounding ocean. The largest river runs from the middle of the map to the south, along the east side of the steep mountain range. A few small towns also dot the map, indicated by small collections of buildings. They are all slightly different - one has cylindrical buildings, one has cabins and a sawmill, two are small fort towers, one has cliff dwellings, and one has caves with chimneys.
