I say all that to say, corporations are on that bullshit at all times and in numerous ways. All the -isms you can think of are gonna be present. Regardless of that it was heartwarming to know someone someone was gunning for me. Having folks that look like you in power isn’t a cure all.
but it helps

Talked to me a private and let me know he was gunning for me to have that spot. The whole team knows i’m legit and wanted me. I was at the top of this list out of all their applications. He even talked to HR on my behalf. They still said fuck no. wouldn’t even allow an interview to take place. 1/x
