Just seen the Desert Wheatear at the Bridging Camp near Wyke Regis. Very mobile but obliging. A first for me on the UK where it’s one I’ve always dipped on in the past

Boat-tailed Grackle at Calshot Hampshire today. A cracking bird. Obviously it was a ship assisted bird and thus probably and understandably won’t get on the British list. But it’s a wild bird and well worth a look irrespective of whether or not you wish to count it.

Bird still showing well take the B390 from Shrewton to Chitterne Wiltshire. Park on the wide metalled track on the right. Cross the road and the bird is in the valley. Well done to the many photographers who realised that it was not possible to get close to the bird and were content just to watch it

Great view of the Woodchat Shrike near Chitterne Wiltshire until it was flushed by an irresponsible photographer. Thankfully it didn’t go too far

This is what we need more of, @teamlabouruk.bsky.social, not development!
A single 400-year-old ancient oak produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year while soaking up carbon dioxide, and can support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, and lichen. Nature is amazing - we need more of it, not less. Please repost if you agree 🌳

All the Best to Ollie Skipp who has been transferred to Leicester City. He was a good servant who always put a shift in. Leicester have got a good player
