Pure rage, the help of another slave giving vered there soul as a battery, gave vered all he needed to overload the collar and create an event that shattered there world and separated every dragons soul from there bodies across his world and cast them in to a dark void.

what vered didn't know was his father was plotting to eliminate him, and found a way to remove all of vereds power, leaving him helpless, vereds sister was killed and vered was inslaved again, bound with a magic collar that made him helpless to his master who took advantage of him.

vered turned his attention to his stepfather first, ending the slave trade with one violent swoop, leaving his father alive and still in power as king, but only as a puppet, controlled by vered.
Then vered turned his attention to the "humans", wiping them from the planet.

during this time, vered was forcibly introduced to the cruelty of the "human" race when his village was attacked by slavers while he was away. most of the village was slaughtered. and to add insult to injury, his father died and his mother remarried to a dragon who wanted to reintroduce slavery

However vered maintained a kind heart and a desire to protect anyone who needed him, human, anthro or dragon, establishing a small village while his own parents waged war with the rest of his kind. once his kind where abandoned by there oppressors they began to thrive in freedom

At the same time there was a war going on between the "humanoid" creatures that where native to the planet, the anthros that where not native to the planet, and the dragons who Vered was a member of. Violence and death on all sides really developed a hate between them all.

Vered and his people came from space as slaves to another race. They where later abandoned on a planet with a dying sun. The sun dying and some very unethical experiments vered was subjected to as a child left him very broken and unable to succumb to death.

Vered is responsible for a few genocides himself that where motivated by personal pains and the sufferings of loved ones. ironically i think they would get along. XD
