My God. That’s just debt slavery.

You are the one saying we’re giving up, but the rest of us are telling you we’re not. We’re certainly not happy about this, nor are we happy that so many didn’t turn out to vote. It’s goddamned aggravating.

Stop saying we’re giving up when we aren’t. It just comes across like you’re projecting.

This is the actual issue. I hear pundits clutching their pearls and saying we’re already capitulating to this nonsense, but I’m not seeing it in actual communities on the ground. Many of us are willing to fight for our rights and the rights of those we care about.

Oh, I forgot someone. Not a politician, but a political historian, a woman full of hope and encouragement. Dr. Heather Cox Richardson @hcrichardson.bsky.social got many of us through the first Trump administration, and she will undoubtedly help get us through the second one. 5/4

I know plenty of people on Medicaid and as a professional, I serve people who benefit from and are able to access services through Medicaid. My mom uses Medicare. If you had any knowledge of people who use these services, you would also be concerned about protecting them. 4/4

But should we continue to follow people who will shame us for *checks notes* having emotions and being pretty vulnerable to the power- and money-hungry opportunists that have been elected and are being nominated to positions that will affect millions of lives? Who do you know on Medicaid, Tom? 3/x
