I gave up on carry on bags years ago. I'm surprised people still do that. Or are allowed.

It probably has to do with the clinging to ancient roles that were formed when women took care of children, which requires empathy, and men chased game around, which requires ruthlessness. I hope with time these old roles will fade, but the time it will take seems to be in the 1000s of years.
