Went detecting today, found a gold rings but actually this is my favourite find of the day. A Hurst Park horse racing club badge from 1913.
1913 the main stand at the race track was burnt down by members of the suffragette movement.

Got offered a paddock to detect on last week by one of my customers. Had a go today on very dry ground and lots of long grass but still managed a few bits. Will go back later in the year after the grass has been cut and we've had some rain.

Got told there was a wasp nest in an apple tree at work in Henfield this morning, turns out it's a swarm of bees. Local bee keeper contacted and they will have a new home soon.

Seems like i dodged a bullet at the Amex on Saturday by travelling to Leverkusen to watch a pretty uneventful 0-0 draw. Had a fantastic time though. Great mates, brilliant weather and cold beer.
