It's been almost a year since she left us and I still don't have adequate language to describe how much I miss her. It permeates every part of my day. Her absence is woven through every fiber of my being, etched into every cell in my body.

She looked so small in the hospital bed when the doctor explained the likelihood that she had CJD. After hearing other people's stories, we're lucky it got diagnosed at all. It's so rare.
