I'd actually prefer someone like King Boo nowadays in other games, but I still quite like Mario. Mario's always got my back. He's the main character, so even in the most limited rosters, I know he'll never let me down.

2. Super Mario 64

My top 2 franchises as a whole, however, goes the complete opposite:

1. Super Mario
2. Sonic The Hedgehog

I wish Sonic didn't have such trouble with consistency. Oh well.
