my county is adding a TEN PERCENT tax on prepared food effective january 1st, so i am taking this opportunity to have one last hurrah with fast food before new years, and then trying to quit it cold turkey, because prices are already ridiculous without that tax on top

we finally got around to the heavyweight tier of arcadion raids tonight in ffxiv and i think the fights are pretty fun. i feel like m1 is somehow the toughest, and m4 feels more like a solo instance boss or something. 2/3 are kinda in that sweet spot

my wife bought me a game for christmas called darkway: murder of king mere, and even though i’m only about 3 hours in, it’s already a late contender for game of the year. don’t sleep on this one, it’s incredibly charming, i’m really finding myself engrossed in it

they really messed up when they named high-bandwidth digital content protection. you have to type out the full name every time to avoid being put on a list

it wasn’t a perfect game by any means, but as more time passes i feel more appreciative of final fantasy xvi. it has so many great moments and characters. it’s biggest weakness is the pacing, but when you’re removed from it there’s a lot of good to look back on

went to best buy last night to pick up a last minute thing my wife needed. it wasn't ready yet so i was just loitering by the pc/gaming stuff. one of the employees came up & talked to me for like ten minutes about his modded vita & how he just bought a psp go off of ebay. shout out to that guy

randomly thinking about the indian dude that sat next to us in john wick 4 that was on his phone for the first half of the movie and fell asleep for the second half, and then when his friends woke him up during the credits, he got up and said "john wick, never die!" in the thickest accent

my favorite part about ordering grocery delivery is when it says they’re on their way, and then you track it, and you know it’s delayed so you’re just watching a little car drive from the store to your house at unreasonable speeds and sometimes not even taking roads at all

tokon is still a great time. ghost rider is way more fun than i expected, spider-man is cool too. i feel like i don’t need to play more before its out for real though. i just want like 3x as many characters before launch

they put up a discord quest to play the storm lancers demo for 15 minutes and there’s maybe 5 minutes of content in the demo if you check the settings first

i think there is a big hurdle to mass adoption of the steam machine that no one is talking about. it’s not price, it’s not performance, it’s anticheat. people are going to buy this little box that is being sold as a console experience, only to be locked out of some of the most popular games
