Oh I am very aware of the CEC. We tried multiple HDMI switches. I think it’s just our bad tv.

The problems were running into is that the HDMI switching isn’t working. No matter what device you turn on, the Apple TV somehow turns on and overrides it. The only tv brand that sometimes has 4 ports is Sony.
