Allowing the Leafs to play a playoff game on Mother’s Day is cruel and unusual punishment.

While I’m happy with the results of the election, I think the outcome has certainly shown us we are at a crossroads. Three leaders (4 if you count Bernier) lost their seats in this election.

If that doesn’t send a message about how Canadians feel about our system then I don’t know what will.

Deeply disassociated for three months while I lived in my kindle book worlds only to come back to reality right as my therapist went on maternity leave and the USA descended into fascism.

It was nice to check in but I think I’ll head back to my books now.

He’s threatening media companies who are critical of him.

He’s talking about sending Americans to foreign prisons.

He’s signing executive orders to investigate former staff members who spoke out against him.

He’s defying the Supreme Court.

Don’t you see what’s happening here?

ALERT: Big Firm Lawyers, I have a proposition for you. (Please read through, serious proposition). As noted in the previous post, I'm very very interested in getting copies of the "agreements" big firms are making with Trump. (My encrypted channels below.) Or at least what is circulated to ...

The similarities between being a family lawyer and a toddler mom are wild. No wonder I am perpetually exhausted.

Life’s been busy but I must say I was much happier reading about fae and dragons on my kindle than logging back into socials to see the many distressing things going on in the world. Ignorance really was bliss.

I though being a 4 gift rule family at Christmas would mean the holidays wouldn’t cost us so much but then I remember that food/hosting is my favourite thing and next thing I know I’ve spent $1000 on food. Oops.

A great message. If only more of our politicians actually acted consistently with the recognition that "a political party isn't a cult." Canada is arguably the democracy with the most extreme form of party discipline in the world.
I understand some partisans don't like when people in a party speak up. But a political party isn't a cult. If people who care greatly about the party don't speak up when things are really are off the rails, then we're doing a disservice to the country & to ourselves.

Just heard news from a friend that a local tragedy has been confirmed as a murder. This is not the first femicide in my small rural area which is incredibly alarming.

I’ve said it a hundred times and I’ll say it again: FEMICIDE IN RURAL SK IS AN EPIDEMIC. #femicide #saskatchewan

My kids are generally pretty good sleepers but I swear they like to torture me any time their dad is gone for a night. Miller sleeps through the night 98% of the time but of course she decided last night it would be fun to be wide awake from 2AM-5AM.

Everyday, but especially today, we should remember that femicide is still prevalent in Canada.

Those of us in SK should be especially cognizant of the fact that we have the highest rates of femicide in the country.
35 years ago today. Never forget the femicide in Canada.

As a parent, is there anything more certain than the fact that you will get sick as soon as you have plans to do something without your kids?

Contract writing is weirdly therapeutic. I realize it’s not the glitz and glamour of being in a court room but given the choice I would do this everyday if I could! My nerd heart is happiest here.

Me trying to read every Christmas romance I can get my hands on before the end of the holiday season.
So many books. So little time.

I just received a letter from another firm for a real estate transaction and on it my name is misspelled. Now, I don’t like to make fun of people for grammatical errors but “Country Yaremchuk” is sort of catchy and honestly I kinda like it.

Any tips for getting a 3 y/o to take medication? We are basically having to water board her at this point and it is traumatic for everyone.

When I did a semester abroad (in England) during law school, I wrote an essay about this very subject. My professor was fascinated by my belief in the importance of MAID and how I thought it was widely accepted in Canada.

Canada doesn't want to negotiate with an insurrectionist, rapist and felon but here we are.
Opinion - Trump won’t negotiate with a Prime Minister he sees as a loser-in-waiting. We need an election: Strength is the only language Mr. Trump knows, and the only approach he will respect

Tuned in to listen to Jared Clarke speak and was blown away. The composure he had while passionately defending the trans community and his family was inspiring.
