She went to her table and tore the tiniest sliver of paper off a page and wrote something and then rolled it into the tightest scroll imaginable, came back up to me, pressed it into my hand and ran…RAN away. /5

Another student ran up to me, horrified, and said “Wolfgang, do you know what skeet means?!!” And I was astonished because, as I told her, I thought it was just some form of scatting (not that kind). I could tell by her face it…was not. TELL ME?! She said “I can’t, I have to write it down” /4

Two of my students came in from lunch singing TO THE WINDOOOOOOW TO THE WALL!!!! And because I do not like to join in singing about ball sweat I politely waited til the skeet skeet skeet part to remind them I knew some things. /3
