One spoiler I will add, because I can't help myself- Matt mentioned in a Times article last Thursday that he gave up drinking four years ago. For me that puts a whole new twist (pun not intended) on Canada Dry.

This is easily the best review I've read of this album so far, and on par with many of my thoughts. (There are a few points where I diverge, but I'll save that for the podcast release). You nailed it.

This is pretty much where I'm at too, although I haven't burned out on the album. It holds up very well to repeated listens. It's very much a coping mechanism right now, though.

There aren't a lot of artists left whose shows feel like such a communal experience. I don't know that we'll ever see another one like it.
