“One of six incarcerees to work for the short-lived Heart Mountain ceramics plant, she met and trained with Daniel Rhodes there. Rhodes, a ceramicist who went on to author the “clay and glaze bible,” Clay and Glazes for the Potter (1957), encouraged Negoro to apply to Alfred University.
