You’re absolutely right. That is always what I strive for. I’ve seen NOLA destroy a lot of people. But I have made health and wellness priorities.

I agree. My dad has been angry with me for struggling basically. He has no concept of the fact that he set me up to fail. And thank god for all the grandparents who have stepped in to care for their grandchildren.

I had a very loving and healthy relationship with my grandparents. Unconditional love. It’s hard that they’ve passed though. I can’t even imagine how fucked up I would be if my parents raised me from birth. I’m so thankful for the childhood I had with my grandparents.
