The fourth connection is my SO's character, as of yet not named, whose brother was vying for political gain and wanted to use his sister, a fellow inventor, to gain it. However, Elliot was an obstacle, so her brother needed to be rid of him. 6/

Meanwhile, Elliot was exiled further east on the continent, where he worked as a farm hand for a number of years until he came across a Leshy named Terra. Terra wanted his garbage in exchange for bringing him shiniest, and he realized quickly he had to protect her simple happiness. 5/

The problem came with the fact that Kaelith was protected under a law that forbade anyone from harming those seeking asylum in the sovereignty.

After Kaelith's death, Whisper was given freedom under the same Act she was, and was allowed to earn his citizenship by working in the Boneward Archive. 4/

Kaelith was working one day when a child bumped into her, stealing a trinket. She gave chase, but a misunderstanding by a human inventor left her dead and the child scarred. Elliot was tried, then exiled for the illegal use of a dangerous unregistered innovation within the sovereignty. 3/

A young necromancer, Kaelith, found a skeleton out on a mission. She raised them because of something she thought was special, but realized it was a fragment of the skeleton's soul sticking to it- in a panic she named him Whisper- He was logged under a Hollowspire law as Kaelith's charge. 2/
