Hugs to you, and I’m here if you ever need anything. It can be hard to leave that community even when you want to. There’s a grief and loneliness in it even if you stay true to your beliefs. But I promise, if you haven’t already, you’ll find lots of likeminded friends that become family. 🫂🤗

I’ve also met people that don’t want to partake in it, and I don’t add them to lists. But when I’m part of grassroots orgs that are all moving from FB to Bluesky, and because we are amassing each other as friends quickly, we are being labeled by the self-appointed police? I wish I had the time…

Some of us are very open about our mental health struggles, very real people. We are also grownups that can vet. We’ve had to block people that swear up and down they are liberal because something they said was wrong. I appreciate what you think you’re doing, but it’s not actually helping.

Everyone I’ve met on here is trying to build a community; we are scared, from places that are deep red. People from all walks of life including public school employees (🙋🏻‍♀️), but we are being added to lists. Writing and sharing multiple Substack articles, on lists.

Not to mention the fact that one of the school board members called the police to her home one evening over the books that we had in our libraries. She enables death threats and never denounced them.
