2) In order to do that, you had to draw a line between 'us' & 'them'. However, that's just the spinal cord talking - racism is the work of the reptile brain. The neocortex evolved later & says, ‘Hold on’. When people allow their spinal cord to dominate, it simply indicates a lack of culture.

1) Racism is completely natural. We all carry it - you could say that racism is wired into us. What we lack isn't morality; it's culture. From an evolutionary perspective, it may even have been useful at one time, helping to protect the gene pool & encouraging people to stick with their own group.

I'm not dismissing the idea, but even before technology became a thing, people claimed to be able to identify personalities based on pictures. Here, in particular, I'm reminded of the wonderful film Europa Europa.
