I love it when a prophecy comes together.

Through the scratch choir I got together, I managed to Hark the lunch queue at Arm on Thursday - complete with 'organ' accompaniment and descant. In mitigation, we had four other carols including Gabriel's Message.

May also be an artefact of being set in an urban environment before modern refrigeration? (Pure speculation on my part, I should note.)

The most tedious part for me is actually trying to remove the lametta in January, back when we had cut trees that needed to be composted rather than a live potted tree. We often found once we got the tree outside that we'd missed at least one or two strands.

It's variable, depending on how a given strand lands in the branches - some will slide off but most hang okay, a bit like a towel on a rail.

We have a bunch of it (lametta, the stuff on the left) - not quite sure where it came from, but it has a nasty habit of falling off the tree and getting lost until it turns up in July, or the cat trying to eat it.

Had a good few round here (though as always I seem to have over-catered by about 1/3) - I've got the doorbell wired to a speaker to provide wolf howls on demand. We haven't had any fireworks here yet, but I'm sure they'll kick off tomorrow.

At last! I used to wear clip-on ones (as a singer I'm often in a suit, but I have a profile that doesn't work well with a belt for smart trousers). After one too many occurrences of a clip going 'ping', I gave up and resigned myself to looking like a string of sausages...

I wonder if it's 'pay-per-mile'

Woof, that went quickly, even by DWCon standards! Looks like it'll be Wave 2 for us :)

I remember learning one of his songs over the course of a few weeks in singing lessons at school, since my parents had a copy of 'Too Many Songs by Tom Lehrer' - I'll leave it to your imagination which one...

These imply the possibilty of a 'Beyondest' campaign.

I mean, sounds like a good excuse for a rail / ferry trip down the Rhein from, say, Mainz to Koblenz...

Why *squelch* did *squelch* they *squelch* have *squelch* to *squelch* be *squelch* cherry *squelch* tomatoes?

You will know them by their fruits.

I went a few times as a teen to the Sellafield visitor's centre (now sadly closed and demolished, though apparently there is a permanent exhibition in Whitehaven), and on a school trip inside a coal-fired power station (I forget which) and the Dinorwig pumped hydro facility.

My original was Philips Hue-based - first press of 'on' on their dimmer switch meant switch on a dim red, second press meant go full-beam white. Moving to a mixed-supplier lighting setup gave me the push to change that to a more 'read my mind' solution.
