Done quite a lot of experimental knitting stuff lately - I can now load pictures from my laptop to my Brother Electronic machine, which opens up many possibilities for exciting picture knitting. Today though I just fancied something routine so I finished off a pair of stripey socks.

Today in "stuff I used to do on that other site that wasn't funny there and won't be funny on Bluesky either": my train is either nearly 11 months late or just over a month early, because it just arrived in March.

I'm away from home for Christmas so can't use my knitting machines, and I'm having to resort to other ways of spending my time.

Further adventures in sock knitting. After things going disastrously wrong repeatedly, I gave up with the black yarn and had a go with this instead. It was much easier to see what was going on and fix mistakes as I made them. I hope when I knit the pair I won't have to fix as many mistakes!

Knitting machine update: I can now make socks apparently. But oh boy, if you thought black yarn was hard going when hand knitting, it's a whole nother world of pain on the machine! When I inevitably dropped stitches, I couldn't see to fix it! Had to go so slow. (Still quicker than hand knitting)

Just had a second date. Really enjoyed it but probably won't be having a third

Folks, I've only gone and knitted a pair for the sock I made a couple of weeks ago. I think I can tick off "learn to knit socks" on my knitting machine bingo card now.
