I'm so happy listening to this because it's the basis of my deckbuilding style for the last few years; avoiding binary decks.

By that I mean, decks that are oppressive when they run, but just have to sit or scoop when a piece is removed. There's an art to making your deck one part of a whole game.

Just listened, I think my main thought is that it's a language issue. Rather than 'banned', maybe we should have a 'restricted' Commander list--puts more power/decision-making on the pod, without totally consigning unpopular cards to the eternal shoebox
