Skies of Arcadia has lived on in my heart and mind ever since playing it as a kid. I loved everything about it—the characters, the stories, the world, the MUSIC, even the oft reviled encounter rate—and still do. An instance of stumbling onto a piece of art at the exact right moment in one’s life.

I have been compulsively buying the Trails releases since I placed Cold Steel 1 on Vita but haven’t made time for them since. I’m taking this as a sign to get started.

that was the moment I *really* realized Oda was doing something special with shonen storytelling and using the series length with real intention. It’s defined the series for me more even more than “I want to live!” which feels crazy to say.

I was desperate to be good at Wipeout 2 solely to experience more its electronic/house music that was completely new to me. I'd always been shit at racing games, and the anti-grav ships only heightened that. I didn't get far, but the music has stayed with me all these years later. #365Games (44)
