I'm not upside down, you're upside down
Exactly. We should see lower temperatures after too few calories and higher temperatures (thermogenesis) after too many. That kind of metabolic flexibility becoming less common nowadays is Not Great

Another hypothesis is increasing rates of subclinical hypothyroid, which does correlate with increasing body fat averages in modern populations. Basically, low body temp instead of low T4 as the symptom of a slowed metabolism.

Yet more evidence that white-knuckling calories is bunk 🫠

I never looked up the limits for mine before, but it fits with the dozens of ancient cans of paint or solvents that I've seen dropped off.

Idk if the school needs proof of what you did with the items, otherwise I'd say say ship 'em over to me with our liberal disposal rules, lolol

Ah, so the interpretation of university waste would be extended beyond 'generated by university' onto 'collected by university' (considering that student devices are originally consumer devices). Wild that the state is tying itself into knots over this.

Are we talking several hundred devices? My local hazardous waste / e-waste depot accepts 125 pounds’ worth of consumer waste per day.

Do you think you would be rejected for sheer amount? www.normalil.gov/484/Self-Ser...

Check out the page. The form asks for a return address, and an email to send the pre-paid label. No account is required, and no cash or credit is given for items sent for recycling. It goes to a third-party recycling company that Apple contracts with.

Have you tried Apple for the branded ones? They accept AirPods for recycling here, under Other Products: www.apple.com/shop/trade-in

And most research focuses on metabolic syndrome and oxidative stress. Not much attention on MetS and reductive stress.

Lots still left to unpack about mitochondrial disorders

The list of disqualifications includes a pulse over 100. Trying to donate became a waste of time for me because it’s all based on measurements taken right then.

Oh yeah, mental health and physical health are intrinsically connected, so anything to interrupt the vicious cycle of allergic flares. It's just interesting how many pathways we're discovering that may have been related all along 🙂

SSRIs were invented because they first discovered the mechanism of serotonin reuptake inhibition from diphenhydramine. Benadryl can have mild anti-anxiety effects on top of histamine suppression!

"Turns out I don't have to eat as much now that my chronic malnourishment is being addressed!" 🤪

'Rest like you're recovering from a flare' is how I've heard it. Aim for nothing mentally or physically taxing (like telework or standing for long periods) for the first 2 weeks, and then no strenuous exercise for 2-3 months.
