Hilariously, the "not good news" is that Chicago housing remains relatively more affordable than in other large cities (i.e., we're not a speculator's paradise).

I’ve been wearing out the amazing new Jaimie Branch disc and totally forget til yesterday that I had an email exchange with her back in 2020. It was a trivial thing – I bought some merch while venues were shut down for the pandemic – but it still made me smile. RIP you beautiful soul!
