Sorry, but you should rethink that. It is a low-quality garbage service with a business model that destroys music. The logic of paying a company that runs ads like ICE ads to eliminate said ads is flawed. #fuckspotify

I also host a server but it’s stagnate. It’s more about exposure for me. Also, consider the downstream, people attending concerts, buying merch etc. Streaming has value, it certainly should be a higher payout especially for small artists.

I view streamers as a huge radio station, think of something on the fly you want to add to a mix and you can. It’s not about convince, more about exposure.

Well I am not advocating for any one service I know the one I use pays artists and has not been subject to artist boycotts. While all those services do stream to some extent, the sound quality is low. In the case of bandcamp, they don’t pay for streams at all. I also still buy tons of music.

I agree, but no amount of record buying /pirating can match a streamers catalog and availability. Pirating just opens people up to security concerns and no one gets paid. I’ll gladly pay double to get artists paid fairly, but there is no way am I giving it up.
