Whenever I'm confronted with AI slop, I remember back in the late 00s/early 10s people would often mock videos for being "fake and gay" and such. Back then, authenticity was sort of demanded on the internet. Now we have losers openly celebrating fake horseshit like this for some reason.

I don't think any movie has perfectly captured the beauty of kindness between strangers and the quirkiness of everyday life quite like The Straight Story. It's one of my favourite films.

The only good thing to happen on the Bird Hellsite recently is that my timeline suddenly, inexplicably became full to the brim with Green Day fan accounts. Had a listen and, wow, this is awesome! People seriously think this stuff is bad?

Sad to hear the passing of Britt Allcroft. I actually watched a rough director's cut of Thomas and the Magic Railroad in early '24 and I could see what she was trying to do. Less a fantasy film and more a slow, earnest, magical realist drama for kids. It didn't succeed, but I admired her ambition.

Honestly, one of the best horror games I've played in a long while. The kind of story that sinks its claws into your back and lingers in your mind. Also, I don't think I've ever hated a character with such passion quite like Jimmy.

As funny as it is watching Elon burn the bridge with his alt-right hugbox, I have no sympathy; imagine unironically thinking wealthy neoliberals would ever legitimately embrace nationalism. Why would wealthy oligarchs hire qualified citizens when they can just import and exploit cheap foreign labor?
