Hopp: Your new remote pair programming app meant for developers
Hopp is built by developers, for developers. It delivers crisp screen sharing (HD), noise-free audio, and seamless remote control. Because programmers deserve better than a generic screen sharing tool.

His thoughts on writing for beginners resemble a top user experience researcher who has extensively studied the topic.

He clearly illustrates how to think like a writer and engage your technical audience, increasing the likelihood of effectively communicating your ideas.

If you're working remotely and have code pairing sessions with your teammates to debug Grafana dashboards and reduce your P99, check out the product I'm working on (I guarantee you 10x better remote pairing sessions from Slack Huddle):

Maybe these "primitive" coding sessions are actually the mental equivalent of resistance training - ensuring we maintain the cognitive strength to tackle problems that fall outside AI's capabilities, and a necessary step towards becoming a “Centaur”?
March 8, 2025 at 2:00 PM
The most successful AI users in the HBS study were either "Centaurs" (strategically dividing work with AI) or "Cyborgs" (fully integrating AI into workflow) - but both styles require strong independent thinking skills.

Similarly, researchers examining ChatGPT's impact warn about "cognitive offloading" - where outsourcing our thinking to AI could gradually diminish our critical thinking abilities and memory.

A Harvard Business School study with BCG consultants revealed an interesting "jagged technological frontier" where AI excels at some tasks but struggles with others. When consultants relied on AI for problems beyond its capabilities, they performed 19% worse than those working independently.

I see this as a workout session for knowledge workers of the future. As we should not skip leg days in the gym, we should also not skip no-AI code sessions in our IDE. These "cognitive workouts" might be crucial for maintaining our problem-solving muscles.
