I love my fellow Missouri State Women's Political Caucus members and delegates, and I'm honored to have represented MO in California. We had the largest number of delegates present, and I couldn't be more proud.

Mayor Chelsea Byers of West Hollywood reminded us that empathy is a strength in politics. We also enjoyed panel discussions and a fireside chat with Sen Laphonza Butler! I reconnected with friends, made new ones, and even squeezed in a brunch with my new friend, Kellie, before heading home.

This injustice will not be tolerated. “After allowing testimony from handful of people on House Joint Resolution 73, the chair of the House Children and Families Committee arbitrarily declared that the remaining witnesses could only state their name and position on the legislation. After many understandably objected to being silenced, the chair ordered security to clear the room. “If Republicans don’t want Missouri citizens to pack hearing rooms to defend their constitutional rights, then they shouldn’t schedule hearings on legislation to take away those rights. Despotic actions to shut down dissent will not work. Residents may register to vote in one of the following ways: 1) visit the Office of the County Clerk in the Historic Courthouse at 940 N Boonville Ave, Room 113 in Springfield during business hours of Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; 2) visit any Missouri Department of Revenue vehicle license office or any branch of the Springfield-Greene County Library; 3) visit the website for the Missouri Secretary of State at https://www.sos.mo.gov/. NAACP Springfield has put on a spectacular panel discussion about where we go from here. Huge turnout. The hope and readiness are palatable.
