From the court papers he is suing using the American courts. So don't know what the rules are in the state he has filed it in. Was looking earlier at Texas and for him to win he would have to prove the BBC lied, which would be almost impossible to do cos the speech contained what they showed

Not sure what the time period is in the States and what the burden of proof is etc. but I suspect it's higher than in London.
Problem for Trump is that they didn't put a different speech in at the end so he can't say he didn't say what the BBC said he said so how could a judge find they liabled him
