COSMOPOET is MSCA PF research project by Divna Manolova @dulila.bsky.social. It is funded by the European Union and hosted by Ghent University. COSMOPOET aims to rethink the relationship between poetry and astronomy in the space of late Byzantine schools.

Not many photos from today, except for the inspiring Wim Verbaal and the astonishing Liber Floridus. Main take away: we really need to rethink what "didactic" means in different contexts, but also when "numbers" encode meter & poems act as instances of creation of worlds - fictional but also real.

Speaking about the palaeography and codicology + diagrams!! for the first time! I realise I can do this and well. Many thanks to the Crash Course in Greek Palaeography organisers for adding me to the team and to KBR for the opportunity to spend a day in the company of the manuscripts I love so much!

In the next (carefully curated) post, I want to tell you about Cosmopoet's logo and its inspiration, but for tonight a selfie attempt with a tee I ordered for the UGent LW Research Day. I think it came out well, the t-shirt, not the selfie 🤔🫠
