Yep, my point exactly. Added to that that we largely import valuable minerals and other materials from those countries to make products such as iPhones that they are then unable to afford themselves, and it is clear why those countries will never have a trade balance with us.

It often isn't even just that. I'm sure plenty of Africans and South-East Asians would love to buy products from the US and EU. If only we didn't exploit them so much through neo-colonialism that they just plain can't afford any of them. While we pillage their land, increasing the deficit ourselves.
