#padtober draws closer and closer to its end! today I tried to make something more experimental out of a distorted synth arpeggio, and just bringing out the reverb more and more as it went on.

i can only think up so many textures for 30ish days of #padtober, but i was able to go in a slightly different direction today by taking string samples from LABS and freezing/padifying them.

#padtober is almost done, now on day 27. recorded a randomized arpeggio and stretched it out and padified it (the usual at this point) and then layered some glitch samples on top to give it some lush texture.

#padtober day 26. really not feeling motivated to keep doing it rn so I kept it simple: one note, one plugin, created in a way that sounded very dissonant to reflect my state of mind i guess.

in #padtober day 25 i be recording it and stretching it out and layering it on top of each other multiple times (and even reversing it) and then covering it all in reverb and playing it back (it sounds pretty good)

really didn't want feel motivated to make another one so for today's #padtober i decided to just make a pad without even hearing it during the process. me recording this was the first time i heard it. not great, but not bad either!

#padtober day 23, this time i challenged myself to make one entirely within a plugin without external FX. I threw some EQ on afterwards but otherwise this one's all done in Vital!

#padtober day 22! wanted a different texture this time so I messed around a bit in NI Razor today, and then used a couple granular plugins to get some cool movement on top of the main pad.

It's #padtober day 16, and I think I'm going to start using this exercise as an excuse to demo some reverb plugins I've been interested in picking up. The first being Eventide's Blackhole, and I'm pretty happy with the results here!

#padtober day 15. i'm really just messing around at this point and seeing what comes out. landed on this cool texture as a result of using a bunch of different timewarps a la ShaperBox and delay.

on today's episode 13 of #padtober, i've returned to using the frozen mode on LuxeVerb, but this time i've introduced new textures, including a bassy drone and some vocal-based synth work.

#padtober day 12. I got lazy today and just decided to stretch, reverse, and chop up all my pads from the past 11 days (with even more reverb on of course!) to create a new singular, evolving texture.

#padtober day 11! Lots of layers going on here, but the star of the show is the granular layer that I messed around with in a really simple freeware plugin!

#padtober day 10. Tried to challenge myself to only use C notes this time around. The unprocessed stack sounds objectively terrible, but that doesn't matter because the end result of my effects rack is this really spacey blissed-out pad.

#padtober day 9. this one is honestly pretty simple but still sounds lovely. just a little bit of FM magic to the filter to give it those little high end floruishes, along with some minor reverb/EQ post-processing.

#padtober day 8. decided to run with the infinite delay/reverb trick i used yesterday except this time I created my own little melody to use as the base. then i recorded it dry and stretched it out for extra melodics on top.
