last bit about el's vision, the ptsd from getting murdered sure does affect them. they loathe people getting close to their face, and wear sunglasses as a form of "protection"; feels safer that theres a barrier between such a vulnerable part of themselves and the outside world

said soul can also be "seen through walls". people are absolutely obscured by objects, except for the star on their chests which can still be visible. this is maybe the only advantage their vision has lmao

however theres a lot of emphasis on how they see people. they appear as actual solids (more like blurry) of color instead of just outlines, with some small shading where some details go. most prominent features are bright white eyes and a star in the center of the chest, which shows a person's soul

when reviving, lost body parts are replaced with "magical" versions, that function differently from normal
El's eyes were replaced with glistening white eyes that lack any irises or pupils. their vision also suffered, leaving them with a severe, permanent visual impairment
