Similar feels here. Once I deal with my current sitch, I'm looking into some kind of shared housing. Maybe co-housing, intentional living, eco-village.. any option needs some serious vetting though.

No prob. I get your frustration over losing all the time and energy spent on YT. But corp social media sucks & they're getting worse. The best way to fight them may be to just dump them. Thankfully, there ARE viable alternatives. Take your time exploring! 😄 There's a lot of climate folks there!

One more cool thing: It's called Bridgy. It connects Bluesky and the Fediverse. Should you move over to PeerTube, it will be easy for your followers to interact with you there, if they don't want to set up an account on a Fedi platform. fed.brid.gy (PS I have a Friendica account bridged. It works!)

Yeah, back then I had like 3 fabric chains to hit up. Maybe current craft chains will fill the void. Maybe local shops will crop up, but they won't be able to offer stuff at the price point we're used to. Adding the death of the big 4 pattern brands, no more cheap base patterns either.
