The problem is systemic. "Wealthy" people are immune to consequences by design. Trump is literally a felon and has already been impeached twice, yet nothing has happened to him. He is never punished for bad behavior. The dude stole from his own charity, still elected president. Law is meaningless.

And what you're talking about isn't even AI. Most of that stuff is just old fashioned machine learning and data processing to make predictive models. They only recently started calling it "AI" in a dishonest attempt to legitimize LLM and generative AI.

The death of magazines in the USA is heartbreaking. I was trying to find a decent anime magazine like Newtype a few months ago and the only magazine I could find still in print is pretty unimpressive. Not going to run it down publicly, but magazines are in a sad state as a whole 😞

About 10 years ago I was at a ROH show and we scored these really cool balcony seats that were almost like private boxea, just no walls separating the boxes. We heard this dude next to us talking smart the whole night, clearly someone in the business. Next day we realized it was Necro Butcher.

About 10 years ago I was at a ROH show and we scored these really cool balcony seats that were almost like private boxea, just no walls separating the boxes. We heard this dude next to us talking smart the whole night, clearly someone in the business. Next day we realized it was Necro Butcher.
And it's junk technology. Time and time again it has illustrated that it's not really good at doing anything. It's like we're ruining both the planet and economy to automate the role of "person at work who can't do their job, so you have check and fix all their work."

Yeah, I really like how I was able to install it with multiple DEs. My experience with Linux so far has been almost entirely GNOME based, so it was cool to just be able to pick KDE at the login screen and give it a try. Seems like it has a great community working on it too.
