We can have both. Universal healthcare allows for other private plans or self funded groups to exist. People have choices.

Groups such as unions can get a better rate. There are also employer self funded plans, I worked one. Best healthcare I ever had.

As an elder GenX woman, college was mostly an expensive waste. My degrees largely ignored, I've always been passed over for men. I'm the most educated and under utilized. Should've done trade school instead of earning business degrees. I say trades, but make sure kids learn strong basics 1st.
