Stage 4 doesn't mean we never mess up. We can be distracted or get lured in certain conditions, but for the most part our trades feel pretty automatic.

We know our system and execute it. We can adapt as conditions change because there is a constant process of assessing trades and ourselves.

Stage 3 is the grind. You know what you gotta do and are striving to do it. But it isn't easy. Our own psychology sabotages us, so this stage is some system work, but mostly figuring out how we trade with the brain we have...

Many traders quit at stage 2 and 3. Stage 2 is the work stage, many months or years of figuring things out and working on the internal game....

This makes trading look very easy to a stage 1 trader (all newer traders), which also makes it very dangerous for the Stage 1 because they don't even know what they don't know...

Many traders who have been doing this a long time are at stage 4. They have incorporated loads of little rules for different conditions. They don't even really think about them, they just do them...
