Tonight’s beating: camp chef knives from rail spring clips, forged mostly to profile and bevels forged in. 1st stage of normalizing done. Also ground an old file into a Wharncliffe EDC

Done with the pre-form on the dagger. Next, more work on the spear side(getting both sides close to finished profiles before severing so I don’t need tongs to forge these).

Started my first solo set of light duty tongs last night following a Black Bear Forge video on making tongs without tongs. Figured if I’m going to mess something up on tongs like these, I’d rather it be scrap metal than my Kens Custom Tongs.
