it's more of the fact that the average players on a soloq team lack the game sense they'd need to stand a chance without communication

assuming the killer has even a slightly strong build or is using half their brain, there's a good chance the average solo teammates will either die or go next

A lot of it has to do with just how insanely much there is to learn with DBD compared to other games and it being such a unique type of game. Although chases are def the main "skill" factor of the game there's a LOT players have to learn in order to even begin learning how to properly chase

Weirdly I feel like making them a perk would make them less likely to return next Halloween and leave them in a state where you'd see it *far* less due to people not wanting to take up a whole perk slot
