The jalapenos we grew this year came out pretty well! Now, if I could just get the last of the capsaicin off my hands...

At least someone is enjoying the summer heat.

Gosh, things have been a lot. Still working on this shawl, at least.

Job interview next week, which means at least a temporary end to my midnight gardening as I drag myself into a more diurnal schedule, but... work would be good. The federal cuts have been a bear.

Truly, the orange cat is well-adapted for his environment.

One thing I never expected about a Mediterranean climate: Herbs really do grow like weeds. We're not worried about running out of oregano - we're trying to foist it off on people, because there's another gallon-ziplock-full that needs to be pruned.

I think we've passed peer review.

(Last ball for this mini-blanket; should be done today, barring unexpected delays.)

At least Zephyr is enjoying the summer sun.

Cat blanket progress. Almost halfway done.

Also, oiled all the unfinished wood, including the butcher block table. I'm always a little behind on this kind of home maintenance, but I think everyone is; at least the effects are satisfying when it's done.

Super simple lap blanket to use up the remaining 500g of this yarn. I really got way too much; wasn't sure how much I would need at the time.

It's mostly going to be for the cats, who love kneading the big blanket. And then I can get on to something that ISN'T green super-bulky.

Finished this blanket up; it's getting washed and gifted to J when he's here next. Zephyr is, of course, helping.

(Also did some laundry and working on clothing alterations, which are not that exciting to look at.)

Today: First peach of the year was really good, despite the split pit. (Not split enough to compromise the fruit, thankfully.)

The peaches are nearly ripe, the garden is going nuts, and I finally finished knitting these socks. A pretty good day so far. #gardening #craftsky
