I tried being way looser with the initial sketching process and holy crap if this isn’t some of the most progress I’ve made. It needs a lot of fixing but I’m happy.

Okay, reworked this because I sat back and hated the other one that I made. Reworked the neon shapes a little. Made the “g” less aggressive. Sign for The Fang, then bar in the opening scene of Out of Position. I wanted to make it feel a little garish and edgy.

Gonna start my rewatch of Over the Garden Wall. It’s really hard to explain what is so good about this show. It’s really just a feeling you get while watching it. Reminds you of simpler times in your life, whatever those may be.

Listen, the core ejection system was never malfunctioning. The interface for utilizing it was just never in place, because safety interface UI/UX’s aren’t sexy.

Of the @kyellgold.com books I’ve read so far, I think Red Devil had the most impact on me. Style is based on Russian constructivism, which is defined by the conservative use of high contrast colors, usually red, black and white. It also tends to be highly graphical with sharp angles and bold shapes

One of the things that kept me from really trying character design and furry art for the longest time was the worry that I would struggle to develop my own style and that it would feel like I was stealing someone else’s. Tried multiple ways of drawing the same character.
