Weekly Movie: THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME (2025): Love me some Wes Anderson flicks, always have. THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME is visually stunning, colorful, quirky & boasts one hell of an amazing, all-star cast but it’s missing a little meat on those bones. If I can sum it up in one word: “fine”.

Weekly Movie: THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME (2025): Love me some Wes Anderson flicks, always have. THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME is visually stunning, colorful, quirky & boasts one hell of an amazing, all-star cast but it’s missing a little meat on those bones. If I can sum it up in one word: “fine”.

Weekly Movie: PLAY DIRTY (2025): Despite being a Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) written & directed heist caper and boasting a solid cast, it’s pretty much a paint-by-numbers offering nothing too new in terms of story or action. It’s enjoyable for sure but not memorable, a good sick day matinee.

Weekly Movie: HAPPY GILMORE 2 (2025): Fun to revisit this world but it doesn’t hold a candle to the original. It has moments but not consistency, although it would be hard to recapture lightning in a bottle. Still, glad Adam Sandler wanted another round of golf and gave us tons of homages to boot.

2025 Weekly Movie: TRON: ARES (2025): I went in expecting trash but wow, TRON: ARES is an absolute blast. I enjoyed the universe building, the new characters, the updated designs, the killer NIN soundtrack, even Jared Leto was great! Don’t believe the hype, TRON: ARES is a great time at the movies!

2025 Weekly Movie: ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER (2025): Wow! I’ve always been a big Paul Thomas Anderson fan, from BOOGIE NIGHTS onwards but it’s been a minute and hot damn, he’s back. The acting is phenomenal (loved Penn’s performance), the directing on point and the film is really fantastic. Wow!
