My specialist subject: The bloody obvious.
And replace him with whom? No one with a 3 digit IQ wants the job.

I would like to see an honest discussion of Chinese subsidies for their EV industry.

Of course, The US subsidizes their own car industry. I just want an apples to apples comparison.

For the record: Toronto, Canada:
Fast Charging: .50/kWh
Gasoline: $1.30/litre
December 17, 2025 at 10:03 PM
Fast charging is about 5% of my total charges.

I understand that not everyone can charge for (almost) free at home. But Level 2 charging costs about Cdn $15 for 400 km.

Paying for gasoline at this point is throwing money away.

Charging can be an issue depending on where you live but, if you do an honest account of your gasoline usage, EVs are cheaper than gasoline by far.

It’s an adjustment. But it’s worth it if you like money.

You just explained an incredibly small niche in the automotive market.

A Tesla Model X will do all that. But it’s an expensive car.

You keep paying for gas. I’m sure the price will go down soon 😆

Serious Question: What happens when they don’t release them?

Ignoring the law is what this administration does.

The only reason anyone will stop using coal is when it gets too expensive.

Every civilised country should boycott.

If an enemy had done this to US Navy sailors, would it be a war crime?

Everyone knows the question to ask:

There is no such thing as a free lunch.

But, using chargers as an incentive to attract customers is going to be important.

Hotels are the most obvious example.

Not a bubble?

Someone is trying to convince themselves that Denile isn’t a river…

This is crazy. If catch one foreign agent stealing, you don’t replace them with another foreign agent.

How fast a car moves is the responsibility of the driver.

If you want to limit the top speed of all cars, fine. Don’t blame Tesla.

Most everything this administration does is racist, misogynistic and illegal. It’s indefensible. Everyone knows it.

So they don’t bother. It saves them an enormous amount of time, energy and money.

It gives the illusion of efficiency. It’s genius.

The worst thing is not that they are supporting Russia.

It’s that they are doing it for free.

If it benefited America, it would still be abhorrent. But understandable. It’s not.

I dislike the term: escalation.

Ukraine is not escalating the conflict. They are looking for ways to damage Russia’s ability to kill them.

Yes, that makes the sea more dangerous. If anyone wants to fix that problem, they will have to address the root cause.
