And that's what's important! Realizing that you can't handle having an animal around for long periods. I'm glad you're able to recognize that for your sake as well. Getting overstimulated can take such a toll on you.

I used to be unable to wake up to alarms. But with a bit of help from psychology I found that I can get my body to wake up enough to hear them and pull me out of sleep. I usually look at the time and think of what time I want to wake up, allowing the brain to calculate the time and start waking me.

It ends up being the opposite for me. If I sleep that long I end up with a headache and feeling exhausted because of too much rest. Interesting how bodies work so vastly differently. 🤔

I can also appreciate this take. Animals aren't for everyone. But I think you hit the nail on the head.

I can see that being an issue for sure. But a compromise where the dogs get to sleep in the room with you and are simply kept from your side seems like it would work better than making the poor things sleep outside of the room too.

How long are your naps that you take? I find 30-45 min naps work best for me.

Haha, it's alright! I have Animal Crossing on the Switch. My biggest complaint with it is that the days can't be sped up by sleeping in your bed. I absolutely love the cozy vibes it gives though. I was never big on the Sims though. 😅
