Our trauma doesn’t respond to knowing about it, but when you feel it.

The trembles, the tears, the random pains in your body.

Thinking and self-diagnosing will just send you into a self-judgment spiral.

Learning to feel, release, soothe and integrate is how to heal.

Excerpt from poetry book in progress
“I don’t want to take on clothes today,
They pull at all of the parts of me seeking to sing,
They wrestle me back to a time when I had to sit still
They squeeze me into places I did not want to go”

You want love, but you don’t trust it.

You crave closeness, but your body flinches when it gets too real.

You ache to be seen, but the moment someone gets too close, you start looking for the exit.

I can write it because I’ve lived it.
I also craved love more than anything humanly possible.
